Krishna Kumar’s PhD thesis focused on the image-based measurement of lumen diameter (LD) and inter-adventitial diameter (IAD) of the human carotid artery. His research interest includes Computer Vision, Image Processing and Machine Learning.
Prior to joining IIHS, Krishna Kumar worked as an Ad-hoc faculty at the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, National Institute for Technology Calicut, Kerala. At IIHS, he is part of the Academics and Research Team in the Geospatial Lab. His work involves applying methods from Computer Vision and Machine Learning to urban spatial analysis. He also assists in developing new analysis methods using remote sensed data.
