Gokul is a journalist and communications person with over 13 years of experience in producing editorial content for print, digital and visual media. His articles on climate change, human rights and development have been published and reproduced by media outlets across South Asia and Europe.
As a reporter, Gokul has travelled across the country, covering major developmental challenges. He has written extensively on the displacement of people from the Kosi River flooding in Bihar; the impact of climate change on the Gulf of Mannar ecosystem in Tamil Nadu; politics and policymaking on slum relocation and redevelopment in major cities of India; and on environmental justice for victims of chronic pollution.
Gokul has also worked as an editor and newsroom manager. He was part of the leadership team creating editorial strategies at The New Indian Express. A media graduate, Gokul is skilled in audio and video editing, design and photography.
