Athira has completed a six month internship conducted jointly by CSIR-NEERI and CARE Inc. and also been a part of one of their projects in solid waste management. Her MTech Thesis was an empirical study of building related C&D waste in Kochi, associated with its generation, composition and handling.
She also worked on a project based on wastewater treatment using constructed wetland while pursuing her bachelor’s degree.
At IIHS, Athira is a part of Tamil Nadu Urban Sanitation Support Programme (TNUSSP).
