Prashanth completed his MBA and worked as an advisory for a Danish start-up and consultant for a Danish media firm. During his study, he has participated in various business case study competitions and led his team to victory in the Carlsberg Case Competition where he presented a strategy for Carlsberg to address the changing trends in global health and wellbeing. It was judged by their executive management. He has completed his Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering from the College of Engineering, Anna University.
Business Development, Sales & Marketing, Key Account Management, and Customer Relations are his areas of expertise. With over 7 years of professional experience, he was earlier associated with the Healthcare, Automotive, IT, Education and FMCG sectors. His major responsibilities included achieving marketing and sales financial objectives, making strategic recommendations for business development initiatives, budgeting actions and establishing pricing strategies.
Prashanth manages outreach activities for the Urban Practitioners’ Programme at IIHS. His responsibilities involve improving product marketability and profitability by identifying and capitalising on market opportunities, sustaining rapport with key accounts by exploring specific needs and anticipating new opportunities and managing the client experience. Additionally, he also works on training programme coordination for capacity building under the AMRUT mission. As the coordinator, he focuses on vendor relations and negotiations, training programme logistics delivery, participant experience management and course scheduling.
In his spare time, he loves to play most sports and has captained the Wesley United Football Club in the Chennai Super Division. He is also a photography enthusiast and relishes the idea of capturing vivid pictures of everyday life. He also volunteers with the Sathya Sai Seva organisation to help educate children from slums.
