“Jamnapaar” lurks on the river’s edge seeking to explore how the inhabitants of the Jamuna relate to its degraded presence, the fragile nostalgia of an unknowable past and the horror of its unthinkable future.
Abhinava has been working and trying to gain experience in the different disciplines of filmmaking for the past few years. He has been able to gain experience in writing, direction, camera and sound. A deep curiosity in the discipline of visual storytelling along with the need to express drives me to exploring the thin crack that runs between documentary and fiction, between reality and madness. Apart from film, his heart lies in nature, literature, silence (or music) and writing.
