Lokesh B S is an Associate with the Geospatial Lab at IIHS. He has three years of professional experience in the area of geodata creation. At IIHS, Lokesh is building the GeoData Library of India while supporting research and practice projects with geospatial datasets. He has previously worked on creating a Geodatabase of buildings, transportation networks, land use classes and natural resources for various cities in Saudi Arabia, North America, China and India using satellite images, DEMs, Orthophotos and LiDAR dataset. Lokesh has been involved with several projects at IIHS including the CARIAA project where he supported the team with their spatial data requirements and the YUVA project, where slum level maps were created for the city of Bhubaneswar. He has also been part of the teaching team that has conducted courses on maps, Google Earth and QGIS for the Urban Practitioners Programme and the Urban Fellows Programme.
