Background Note

This study has carried out an intensive review of different literature and data on Hazard Risk and Vulnerability Analysis of Greater Shillong city area with the support of different agencies and identifies the key challenges in disaster and climate change resilience, which can help urban administrators, policy makers and other stakeholders develop better understand the gaps in resilience and prepare better strategy for the city development that incorporates disaster risk reduction and improved adaptation.
