Nilakshi is part of the Geospatial Lab and provides geospatial analytical support to research and practice projects at IIHS. She is engaged in building a geospatial data archive to help explain urban growth in Indian cities over the last three decades. Her focus areas are spatial analysis and image analysis.  


Nilakshi also trains students and working professionals from various domains as a part of the Geographic Information System (GIS) capacity building programmes at IIHS.
