“Mohan is a part of the academic and research team. He primarily works on web-based application development, urban data analysis coupled with geo-spatial analysis and providing data analytics support to the team. He has worked on developing and using a myriad software tools and applications as projects during his engineering studies, most notably designing and developing a speech recognition robot for his thesis at Reva Institute of Technology (VIT University).
Currently he is a core member of the Urban Informatics Lab (UIL), wherein he is involved in a variety of practice and research projects that encompass urban data analysis, data visualisation couple with spatial visualisation, web automation and machine learning. He is also actively involved in teaching data analysis modules at various internal learning programmes. He has been a part of several conferences and workshops, most notably the “Ahmedabad Mapping Workshop” wherein he had presented an exhibit on sound and safety mapping.
He has also represented the organisation at a Winter School on “Decoding the Digital being’ organised by IIIT, Bengaluru. He is also part of the Computer Society of India and presented technical papers on gesture recognition technology and ethical uses of technology in health care.
In the earlier years Mohan has worked with Hewlett Packard as a Technical coordinator for a brief period and also worked on database management and setting up backend server.
